SUMMARY:Free Webinar: Your Land\, Your Legacy - Exploring Conservation Easements
DESCRIPTION:Are you a Norfolk County landowner interested in protecting your land for future generations? The Long Point Biosphere Region is hosting a free webinar featuring guest speaker Paul Peterson to provide a clear introduction to Conservation Easement Agreements (CEAs). This session will explain what a CEA is\, how it works\, who may be eligible\, and the potential benefits\, responsibilities\, and long-term considerations involved. CEAs are voluntary legal agreements that can help landowners conserve important natural or agricultural features on their property while retaining ownership. \nRegister here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/jtolTyKtRlqM-927kwkOFg#/registration \nAbout Paul Peterson \nPaul Peterson is a lawyer with more than thirty years of experience working with land conservation organizations\, landowners and governments on private land conservation projects. His work has covered forest\, wetland and farm properties in Ontario as well as large grassland ranch projects in the prairie provinces. In private practice\, Paul worked for many years providing legal advice to landowners and municipalities on land planning and development including the development of the Blue Mountain Village near Collingwood. Finally\, Paul has worked in recent years with The Nature Conservancy of Canada\, advising on issues of property acquisition\, land management and disposition across the country.
