We invite you to check out the membership of the Long Point Biosphere Region Board of Directors for 2025 which reflects important changes to key functions as well as the addition of new expertise.
Topping the list of changes this past year is the appointment of Janet Dassinger as President following years of exceptional service by Brian Craig, who continues as a Director at Large. Janet, a Senior Research Officer with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, brings extensive experience to her role as leader of our program team. We are also very fortunate to have Sydney Clarysse now serving as Board Secretary. Both Janet and Sydney have long histories as involved residents of Norfolk County.
New members who have joined the Biosphere Board in the last year or so include our Treasurer Michael VanSickle and Directors at Large Angelle van Kleef, Jeff Hopkins, and Stuart Mackenzie, all of whom bring valued experience and unique knowledge of the Biosphere region to our operations.
These appointments follow the completion of terms by Birds Canada Director Andrew Couturier and our former Secretary and legal expert Paula Boutis to whom we are deeply indebted for their years of dedication and service.
