Farmer’s Market or Farm

Norfolk County is known as Ontario’s Garden, we are Canada’s most diverse agricultural area and leading growers of asparagus, tart cherries, ginseng, peppers, pumpkins and squash.

If you are visiting on a Saturday (between 9am and 1pm), make sure to visit the Port Dover Lions Market at Silver Lake (where you are likely already parked). The market showcases a variety of local vendors (meat, fruits/vegetables, baked goods, cheese, craft beer and more).

If you are visiting on another day, you can make your way to the Matz Fruit Barn, only a few minutes drive away. They are a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Farm that offers quality produce in a completely sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. They pride themselves in being Stewards of the Land, putting back into the soil the same nutrients they take out.
